Today I scammed someone in PoE2 for the first time

The classic self scam™.
Hardest one to avoid. When you can't read the mods properly and just click trade.
Guy bought an item from me listed as the correct price, proceeds to call me a scammer afterwards, to which I assumed he was trying to buy different one with different suffixes but too lazy to put in the suffixes he wanted?
i "self scammed" myself that way too, bought one of those thinking it only had one version, i didnt knew uniques could roll different things 🙃
Bro…
I… want that armor
Honestly the way people talk in chat, that seems to be how the market works in this game.
i got one with 10% all resists and 10% rarity per rune for 70ex lol
Trying to buy these things are a pain. I must have had like 4 people in a row try to sell me attributes/mana or attributes/life when I was pinging & looking for the obvious attributes/all res.
TLDR: Be safe out here exiles when buying these always make sure to quadruple check!
I play SSF but I presume PoE2 trade is just like PoE1? The screen pops up....you have a chance to review the trade BEFORE clicking accept? If so then they scammed themselves......
SSF BTW - Dunno if I said?

If I did this i'd just throw the item into my 1div tab and no one has to know that I never learned how to read
Reading hard smh
I accidentally did that once, I had another one in my inventory that was worse, forgot about it, then saw that after the trade and was like wut
Still a nice armor though. Ngl I have never found anything nearly as good or even dropped and currency that would afford me something like this 😂
MEET THE DREAMER 😂
I accidentally scammed someone in the first week…
I bought a crossbow upgrade for 1ex. I only had 1ex. Was very early in the game.
Later I was cleaning my inventory and saw it.. realized I gave the seller a regal… he didn’t check either. Idk if he never realized or if he didn’t care bc it was only 1ex.
It was hours later and I’d logged a couple times. I felt bad I couldn’t remember or figure out how to find who sold it to me.
Y U SCAME?
If only there was a system that could fix this
If only there was a system that could fix this from happening
I accidentally bought incredible boots for a storm weaver, but with a str req for 5 div on accident. Tried to kindly return them but got blocked. Ended up selling them for 4 div /shrug.
Had one where someone got scammed in global and he got mad at everyone for not preventing it, like it was our fault that he got scammed and did not bother to check it himself.
Trading seems like too much work in this game :/
i have that rig on sale right now for 1 div. if it sells it sells. if not it will still be listed until i find a use for it. reading is hard
YOU SCAMER
I scammed myself too, not just once.... But a simple sorry with a short explanation always got me my stuff back.
Am i too noob to understand? Wheres the Scam? He wanted to buy Morior, he got Morior. Whats the problem?
I had an old Morior that was 5 socket and attributes/global defense listed for a price. Dude offered 15div which was under but I accepted anyway. He gave me 30div. I was confused but he never said anything so oh well /shrug.
poor guy didn't know different versions and thought that's what he was buying instead of reading
Dude you scamed him? You came after scamming him? XD
This happened me earlier, was trying to buy staff +3 all spell skill but the sigil was at level 10 not 18 lol
This is why we need an auction house instead of player to player trade
What makes this chest so valuable?
what mod shows the price at the bottom please?
"Scame“ on you!
I faced the exact same situation the only reply I gave was "...?" and I got a sorry around 5 minutes later.
This is your own fault. There's a reason you're supposed to hover over the item before you accept. Take it as a lesson learned.
I wasted a divine on a grand regalia, the build guide had the wrong prefixes listed 😓
I remember dropping lvl 32 icebite forbidden shako one day. I've looked it up on poe trade and saw that lvl 35 icebite would go for much more, so i divined it. Self scam is real my dudes
Is the 10% global def 5% mana variant of this generally useless? I vaal'd a 5th socket onto mine yesterday and it doesn't seem to sell at all
the dreamer providers
Lol but There are actually a LOT of people scamming on this item. They are the first 7-8 listings of the attributes all res rolls. Listed 7-10 div below market price and they ALWAYS substitute a shitty roll when you go to trade them. They are running the scam almost 24/7.
Just tell him you buy it for 10 ex
