Smith of Kitava Crit Lightning Spear

Lightning spear is crazy clear and we can scale crit for damage with the Tangletongue unique spear which has very high base crit. It also has "Forks critical hits" which gives us a lot of crit damage. To offset the low base damage, get flat damage on rings and gloves.

Ascendancy is Smith of Kitava for the tankiness.

Defences:

• 90% all max elemental resistance
• 75% chaos resistance
• 25% of physical damage from hits taken as fire damage
• 5% of physical damage from hits taken as a random element
• ~8% life regenerated per second
• 3k life
• 61% evasion
• 31% block chance

Ngamahu's Chosen unique charm gives us max rage when we take fire damage from a hit. As our ascendancy grants us 25% of phys taken as fire, this charm triggers on both fire and phys damage.

At this point, does ascendency even matter for lightning spear? It feels like this skill is getting the nerf hammer for how ubiquitous it is right now

This looks cool. I've been thinking of trying to shoehorn this into a build but wasn't sure if it would work well.

I noticed a couple of smiths on poe ninja using Rake + Execute + Stomp with the enemies are always low life unique helm but that costs 5 div and I'm poor.

Gonna wait to see if Tempered Weapon somehow buffs the mace strike clear that was nerfed with melee radius before trying this.

Seems like lightning spear is the new spark archmage lol

I recently swapped into Kitava Artillery Ballista, but this has me tempted to swap. I probably won't because there is no way this skill doesn't get nerfed inside of 2 weeks.

Its pretty much the only way to enable crit spears for any class other than huntress

How would you level as this build? Str stack reave stomp until you get tangletongue and then swap to it?

Anyone have HC experiences with this? 3.3k life seems a bit low, otherswise nice.

That looks like a shitload of fun. What makes this build so expensive tho? Got already a Smith with decent Gear at level 87 but cant stand the slop leap slam + boneshatter is lol.

Great build but ngl, that spear needs to be nuked.

Not power wise, But rarity needs to be T1 or even T0.

It's too common for how stupidly strong it is.
