As a dad I beg you, please, do not remove the pause feature.

100% agree. As a Dad myself its so much easier to convince the misses for some game time if i can still get up and help with things and not be locked into a situation where i cant get up for 20+ minutes.

Same happened to me, paused a couple of times before I got to the first town.

I understand that Ben, Zizaran and other streamers don’t like the pause, but it’s not like they have to use it.

I think as long as the pause works in the inventory screen it’s perfect. You can’t see the game for puzzle mechanics but it still lets you pause and step away. Obscuring the battle while paused is as far as I’m concerned the perfect solution.

Absolutely love the pause. I’ve been fighting through a sickness and it’s so nice to be able to pause and take a short break at any time.

As a fellow dad myself it struck me pleasantly that this game can be paused.

I'm not a dad, But I want to be able to give things my attention that require them when needed.  This feature is just a massive quality of life that allows me to engage with my actual life.

For general gameplay is fine but it seems like it could be bad for Uber bosses. Like, something like Mavens Memory game could never work with pause.

Love the pause. To make it fair to the racers, just blur the entire screen so there is no advantage taken.

As non dad i still agree. I think all adults agree pause is MUST in any game.

How do we pause the game on console

I saw a certain streamer claiming pause will hurt the "integrity" of the game, because it may make it easier to learn fights.

I'm a parent and pause made me feel like my time was respected.

SERIOUSLY! Im a first tim dad right now, my baby boy is like 39 days old xD for people who dont know you have to feed & change a newborn EVERY 2 HOURS! like bro holy crap this pause feature actualy lets me play the game xD

Family is much more understanding of this vice I have, if I can pause it and leave it at any time.

For controller the pause is also necessary so you can check what buffs/debuffs you have and what each icon means.

As a childless person, I also love pause in games. Sometimes I need to answer the door or phone or attend to a kitten emergency. Very pleased that GGG added this functionality.

It’s definitely a breath of fresh air, specially when games of this kind of difficulty rely on having no way to pause at all.

My game crashed a few times and when I came back it was paused mid combat. Loved that.

they probly are gathering data on when the pause is used. if it becomes common that its used on hard encounters im sure thats a good way to know if the encounter may be mechanically to tough.

+1 I didn't know I missed that. But this changed so much in the last couple of hours

yep so many great fun things in this game, loving so much of this so far, except for the enemies hitting like a truck and being a bullet sponge, but this game is a lot of fun in terms of gameplay, combat and QOL.
