Theorycrafting on FearlessDumbos Frostferno Witchhunter

I came across Fearlessdumbo's FrostFerno Build for Witchhunter and expanded the skill tree.

Reasoning:

  • Taking Deterioration already gives 18% on damaging ailment magnitude, we need 20% in any ailment to be immune to all damaging ailments.
  • So i pathed up into Burn Away for more Ignite Magnitude and took Polished Iron, Blade Catcher, Backup Plan and Relentless on the way.
  • Assumption is that Iron Reflexes stacks with Leatherbound Gauntles and Generals Bindings
  • Opted out of Full Salvo,Reusable Ammo and the 30% Increased Loading Speed since im not sure if the build really switches Ammunition often, should be freeze+boom.
  • If you prefer Giantslayer over Defenses, it can be adapted. Boss Dps vs General Survivability

Regarding Ascendancy Points i assume that at some stage you'd replace Culling Strike and Corpse Explosions with the Full Sorcery Ward tree if the gear allows for it.

I'm still running Corrosion Gas Grenade+High Velocity Rounds Variant with Radiant Grief+Corpsewade for simple one button clearing but im excited to try this out in lategame.

not many thoughts on the frostferno build but I was wondering about the corrosion gas grenade, I was running the same thing but can't seem to get it work well on bosses, the armor never gets to fully break it feels like. How'd you have it built? or do you just use it for trash clear?
