Damage Calculations
Anyone know the formula for damage calculation in this game? Which modifiers are multiplicative vs. added? Asking for a friend who wants to make things go boom

That's a pretty loaded question but the simple version for a generic skill is:
Start with base damage - weapon damage for attacks, gem damage for spells. Any added x-y flat damage numbers get added here.
From there all generic multipliers that say %increased damage (i.e. increased fire damage, increased spell damage) are summed up and multiply the base damage. This acts as a single multiplicative source.
Other modifiers that say %MORE damage act as independent multipliers. Most of these sources come from support gems.
Landing a crit is its own independent multiplier that scales off crit damage.
"% gained as extra damage" acts as a pseudo multiplier as it applies to base damage.
