Ice Strike Invoker Mana Issues

42

Hey guys, playing an ice strike invoker and it feels very smooth in gameplay and clear. Flicker enjoyers should definitely try.

My only problem with the build is that the mana costs are just too damn high. I have a Lv 21 Ice Strike skill gem and its draining 63 mana/cast at .22 casts per second, basically around 300 mana/sec.

I'm already running some passive skill tree nodes to lower the costs of mana, but are there any clever solutions you guys have for this? I tried phys damage leech as well, and it didn't work out so great but I'm not really a build builder so I could have done some stuff wrong.

Is there any big-brain who has any cool ideas? Thanks y'all.

I'm still leveling but I got a chest with damaged taken recoup as mana and haven't had to press my mana flask since

I am still in Cruel but will have the same problem I bet so I also wanna know :D are there any non-phys sources for leech? That would help... One thing is inspiration on main attack of course.

I dropped the +lvl gear for it

I kept pushing through and now I’m 58 with no issues. You can put the support gem for 30% regren on a herald or any spirit buff. Then a good flask and maybe a regen node. I have full mana all the time now.

don't run +lvl on gear. if you can't use your skill, the extra damage from the level is pointless.

Instead of rolling + lvl on gear you should opt for other ways to increase your damage (inc phys, attack speed, crit, etc.).

I stopped upgrading most of my gems because of mana issues though maybe I'm losing out on a bunch of damage because of that? I'm level 60ish and most things are 10-14 I think

Damage taken goes to mana on an amulet in addition to like 8% leech somewhere will make it manageable again.
