Lightning Crossbow Deadeye - T15 map/boss video and overview.

Pretty happy overall with this builds performance, and lots left to upgrade. Spent about 100 - 120 ex overall so far, half of which was the 6 link Galvanic for map clear QoL with fork.
Why Deadeye: The tailwind skill speed triple dips, faster attack speed, faster reload speed and faster reapplication of tailwind for both offense and defense. Crossbows also gain tailwind stacks per shot, so with 7.5 APS on Galvanic and 13.3 aps with shockburst I regain tailwind extremely fast after taking a hit. This also means that with 83% evasion, the 30% less damage taken when at max tailwind has excellent uptime. Final ascendancy isn't very exciting. +1 proj does little for this build so it's most likely the accuracy node.
Current Tree: https://maxroll.gg/poe2/passive-tree/4p7db0zs Have potentially over invested into penetration since we don't know the ideal numbers yet.
Gameplay: Clear with galvanic shards, don't need to press anything else for most of the map. If you shock a rare you can finish it off with shockburst rounds. For expedition I use a weapon switch bow with lightning-rods for some extra aoe-dps.
Bosses or tanky rares: Apply voltaic mark for extra shock effect, use a weapon-switch bow and fire 1-2 stormcaller arrows for a guaranteed shock, load shockburst rounds, emergency reload after emptying first clip. Stay as close as you safely can for point-blank.
Links: Galvanic Shards: Primal Armament, Martial Tempo, Lightning Infusion, Innervate, Fork
Shockburst Rounds: Elemental Focus, Heft, Conc Effect, Close Combat. (6th link will be probably be fresh clip)
Stormcaller Arrow: Conduction, Lasting Shock
Emergency Reload: Premedetation, Ingenuity
Voltaic Mark: Persistence
Wind Dancer: Cannibalism
Herald of Thunder: Culling Strike, Precision
Lightning Rod: Magnified effect, Scattershot
(Optional extra boss dps that I mostly forget to use) Ripwire ballista: Font of Rage, Ancestral Urgency
Gear: Life and res and stats on evasion bases. Get flat lightning on gloves. Best crossbow would be highest pdps affordable with either flat lightning or fat ele damage wth attacks, not sure which is better yet.

How is the levelling? Looking for a new build to start next weekend :)
which support would you drop on galvanic shards if you only had 4 support sockets?
Oh yea! I was thinking of something similar later on. I'll definitely try this
Any thoughts on passive changes for hardcore? I have a level 17 ranger and this build looks like exactly the playstyle I want, I just need to theorycraft a little more defense.
Just started trying this out on my ranger I had leveled to early maps, it feels very smooth and fun so far. The only thing that really bothers me is that galvanic shards has that pesky 40% conversion on the main projectile which is really annoying for scaling with phys later on. It would be nice if GGG added some conversion supports or modifiers on gear later on so you can get both phys and flat lightning scaling to work for the skill.
Regardless of that issue galvanic is working well for clearing and swapping quick to shockburst to gun down other mobs is going great so far. I'm excited to keep scaling the build from here.
I want to like galvanic but it feels clunky to me. I'm 75 and I've got a good tree setup but I don't know if it's the skill or attack speed or reload speed - it feels like I can't fire them anytime I want and it affects how fluid it feels; is that just the way the skill works or is there something I can do to fix it?
Cool concept, I think I like this setup a lot more on deadeye because it seems more straightforward and less reliant on rods which I find annoying to use and will probably be nerfed soon anyhow.
I'm playing the ds_lily version of this which is 95% the same. She drops Instant Reload & Forces of Nature and paths on the outside of the tree.
Thoughts/idea:
- Consider adding blind to HoT and dropping the blind wheel. Then you can add the dex notable and the attack speed per dex wheel. This solves Dex entirely.
- Jewels are really good. Your can get 20% reload speed so you can even drop Instant Reload.
- why not kitokos? stupid strong.
- Innervate on HoT has good uptime while clearing. can add another link to Galvanic
