Eye of Winter

Sadly they shoehorned the ability into being purely mechanical or supplementary. It deals probably the lowest damage per cast of any spell in the entire book atm.

Unfortunately PoE2 does not work that way. Skills are either enablers or damage skills and eye of winter is an enabler.

Since PoE2 lacks sources of flat damage to fix low damage skills like eye of Winter I think the only realistic way you could clear with it is as your primary source of damage would be to pair it with a high level flame wall.

I add second wind to blink and use ghostwrithe to get more ehp

Seems to be a bit of a supplemental skill for Crit builds due to the critical weakness it applies 

It has really low base damage and there are limited ways to get more for spells. If it passes through a fire wall and over two types of elemental ground it actually is pretty decent, but it is kind of painful to set up

I'm using it with elemental invocation and bell with all 3 elemental grounds and having a good time exploding bosses

It deals extremely low damage so it doesn’t seem to be viable as a main skill. Sets up crit weaknesses and instantly pops bells though so it’s a great combo skill.
