Item levels, item quality, confused
Hi,
I am a little confused about whether item level has any impact and also what "quality" does. Most of my items say Required Level 11 and I am level 35. I mostly just ignore item level and look at the stats but im having a really hard time with bosses and so I am just trying to educate myself.
I used a blacksmith stone on my bow and now it says quality 8% any idea what that means?

there are 3 relevant numbers here: Item level, Required level and Quality
Item level is essentially the level of the zone it dropped in. It doesn't provide any inherent benefits or stats, it just determines what modifiers can roll on the item. higher level item, higher level modifiers.
once the item is rolled with all its modifiers, it has a Required level, which is the minimum player level you need to be to equip it. This is determined by the modifiers on the item. So if you have a level 35 item that rolls very low level modifiers, it might only require level 11 or something.
Quality affects the defensive stats on armor, or the physical damage on a bow. It just increases those stats by the amount it says. So 8% quality on your bow means it does 8% more physical damage than it did before.
