Gas grenade Vs Gas arrow

10

Levelling a deadeye ATM to do one of these fancy gas explosion builds.

I've just noticed there's both gas grenade and gas arrow. Is one clearly better than the other? What are most people playing?

Any other advice welcome

Thanks

Probably gas arrow. Bow gets quiver and it’s easier to setup damage imo. Cbow needs more passive nodes to feel good.

Personally I think gas arrow is the play. I am running a hybrid Ice shot / gas arrow build for clear and bossing respectively. Gas arrow, especially with multiple projectiles and some barrage thrown in is exceptionally good at killing rares and bosses, often oneshotting the former and one phasing the later. Personally I prefer running the radiant grief helmet so I can press less buttons, but people have had a lot of success with flame wall or detonating arrow for procing ignite. I wrote up a build guide to help me plan for late game if you are interested. https://maxroll.gg/poe2/planner/8m4cj0mg

Gas Arrow with Radiant Grief and Death's Harp

ive used this setup since act2 to endgame (change bow for better one while mapping high tier tho)

you can swap to freeze gas arrow too by converting fire to cold with corrupted Blueflame Bracers (you need 1 percent left for igniting mobs)

cozy and 1-button gameplay

Just hit maps with gas arrow. Very good leveling skill, buy the ignites close enemy helmet and big booms everywhere . Cleared the first map without issues.

Rarely died and like ten shot bosses , one shot all white packs , couple shots for rares.

Deadeye can swap into lighting arrow with the same tree. So you're not stuck with a skill.

Gas arrow is miles better, even streamers like ben/rue and a few others admits it and already knows it's gonna get reworked.

Right now you can play gas arrow from lvl 22 to red maps and it feels buttery smooth and can be played 1 button with unique setup radiant or even the boots(unique boots forgot name) if you are just starting out. Or just use a lvl 1 flamewall.
