Galvanic Shards Build Help

10

Currently playing the Galvanic Shards/Shockburst Rounds build with a Witchhunter running Kitoko's Current for Electrocute. The clear speed and damage generally feels ok but the build feels pretty squishy. I often get one shot by bosses and sometimes even blue mobs if I'm not being careful.

The tree and gear I'm using is here: https://maxroll.gg/poe2/planner/0s95v0vg

I've recently upgraded my gear but am still being one shot and it's really affecting my map sustain when I die. Does this build ever start not getting one shot by stuff or is this how it is? I'm considering dropping Kitoko's current but getting windows of time to shoot a boss with electrocution feels strong enough that I don't know if that's a good idea. Considering just rerolling another character if there isn't really a way to fix the defences at this point.

I'm running a similar build but with gemling legionaire, and am doing decently well (am at t13 maps now)

For me, the best defensive layers I have are of-screening packs, alongside CC chaining bosses.

To offscreen packs, I run proj speed for galvanic shards, alongside going for resolute technique(which helps with the accuracy problems at long ranges). You might be able to get away with just stacking accuracy, but I haven't tested it too much. Also - for clearing, a LOT of my damage comes from herald of thunder. I'd highly recommend getting it to 20% quality because quality makes a huge difference. Alongside putting some damage links in.

For CC chaining bosses, I hot swap in a three dragons helmet. It makes your lightning damage electrocute AND freeze. I then zap em with a high damage plasma blast. Most bosses give you the first volley for free, then they get electrocuted, which is another free plasma blast. And then they get frozen. And if they're ever not cc'd I run around and basic bolt.

Last thing I'd say is getting flat lightning damage on your rings can help a lot with damage. Sometimes the best defense is better offense :p

Not sure if all of this will solve things for you, but it's what has worked for me! It certainly helps that I get to run each support twice from my ascendancy. Hope this helps!

You have alot defensive options in tree, and ignored them for some reason

Does herald of ash even do anything for you? If you drop it you could use cannibalism and vitality for good recovery

If you can afford to grab both the sorcery ward nodes, that should help a ton. Blocking pretty much all elemental damage means the rest of your hp can always be up for big phys and chaos hits.
