Palsteron's Explosive Shot Deadeye - Boss damage feels bad
I dropped an awesome crossbow, decided to give a new build a try and switched from LA Deadeye to Explosive Shot Deadeye. For reference, with 10 tailwind stacks, I have 118k tooltip DPS on shockburst's burst. EDIT: Crossbow for shockburst has 600 DPS
Boss damage just feels bad. I went from melting +4 bosses in under 10 seconds for the most part (a lot of them instant) to taking 60+ seconds at times to do bosses.
Clear is amazing, but this terrible boss damage is making me want to sell my crossbows and go back to LA.

La dead eye is a much better build that's op. Should get nerfed next patch .
Explosive shot is more of a normal build. You gotta invest / get jewels / scale it.
I've played both builds, actually started Witch Hunter with Galvanic Shards, switched to a Deadeye and played Explosive Shot and LA. Now, I'm playing Ice Shot with Weapon Swap into Lightning Rod + Ball Lightning.
While the damage of Shockburst Rounds is great, it is nowhere close to the damage output of Lightning Rod + Ball Lightning interaction. As the other commenter said, I'm expecting a nerf as well.
If you want to keep playing with Explosive Shot and can meet the attribute requirements (crossbow wants a lot strength while bow bases want a lot of dex) you can use the Weapon Swap and switch to a bow with Lightning Rod + Ball Lightning (Cast on Shock) to melt bosses. You also need to change the Three Dragons as well because you won't be able to shock with your lightning skills and cannot proc CoS. It might be a bit clunky but you can keep playing with Explosive Shot if you prefer that. Or you just have to get used to the damage output of Shockburst Rounds.
You have to shock the boss for shockburst to do damage
Are you not shocking the boss beforehand?
Are you hitting explosive shot first to get shock up (the reason you need Three Dragons)?
