ES on Witch Hunter?
What is the best way to build defenses for a witch hunter? I just reached the atlas. I hear ES is way better than armor, with armor being almost useless in higher maps. Is it possible to build ES as a mercenary - or should I just focus on having very high evasion? Are there other ways I can stack defenses?
By the way, I play on trade, but I don't usually trade, I prefer to craft my own stuff 😅 but if there's any mandatory unique then I can trade for that.

Defence should be based on evasion, it is the most in the mercenary skill tree, and with acrobatics you can easily achieve 85% evasion. At the same time you will also have armour of about 40%. Do not forget to buy all the equipment on evasion, except gloves, gloves should be at maximum armour, you can achieve about 700 armour on gloves, and with the skill tree, 700 armour on gloves, will also give 700 evasion, it's crazy when gloves give 700+ armour and 700+ evasion.
You can get a chest with high eva and ES and then couple that with grim feast to double the shield. Palsteron has a vid and guide on it.
