Someone cancel the trade for whatever reason. Super red flag

I got scammed out of a few exalts first week because i was distracted but Holy shit after that people tried to scamm me several times

Oldest trick in the book.

I have seen ton of scammers. In my poe1 experience they tried to scam me onl 2 times ( lvl 4 empower scam ).

In this game I put an item for like 7 div and they put in 7 ex. Around 20 people already tried something similar to this. Idk why this game has much more scammers

keep a bricked version of the item in ur ivnentorey and scam them :)

This issue would not exists, if the game would have a proper auction house. A lot of trading issues could be solved this way and the current trading is really garbage.

Scammer aside, using the UI on console looks like a disaster.

The only very minor positive is that GGG gets money from the game purchase and has the complete right to ban the account without a refund. Terrible silver lining, but I'm trying.

Always report these guys, in recent years GGG has actually started to take action against scammers.

Don't forget to report the scammers. They won't be immidiately banned but GGG will have a record of their (repeated) behavior.

I just got cancel scammed 8 div from a HOWA trade, yeah I should just wait and see what they put up

lookin to upgrade a piece yesterday, swore I has the currency trade filter set to exats....(spoiler. nope)

bout 8 guys immediately cancel after I offer my Aly (price was 1 div). drop immediately and peace our... I swore there must be an exploit, or they are trying to scam me.....

9th guy was afk so asked if I still wanted..yup..but I ask "what's with the cancel trade n drop..an exploit?" he actually took the time to explain what was going on.. didn't shit all over the newb... and then flat gives me the item...

know it's EA.. no big deal really..but.. just wanted to share that there's beauties out there

Had one who bought my +2 minion, 100 life 70res helmet who said „wrong one can I get a refund“ just to add a random yellow item of the same base lmao

Someone tried to pay with Alchemy orbs instead of Exalts. They kinda look similar on quick glance

I never trade with other players. Only with my friends. Always.

I had a guy trying to scam me on like day 3. He put up alchemies instead of exalts. Whats really funny is normally a banned account means nothing but they have to pay to play EA so it actually costs them to get banned. And you can report for scamming now.

It's simple, count the currency. It happened to me multiple times. If you accept, it's your own fault to rush to accept a trade where there is no rush

I'm assuming this means PoE2 still doesn't have a good auction house or other indirect trade system?

I thought they were planning on implementing one? I gave up on PoE1 because of the horrible whisper-trade thing :(

Had excactly the same scam tried on me this morning btw. Same item and same pattern. Crazy

Had a guy try to trade me all alchs instead of exalts like anyone was dumb enough to not realize that.

The absolute garbage of keeping this manual trading system is just a way to try and let people flex their MTX. No other reason to not have an automated system.

I had trouble figuring out how to split stacks when I first started in Poe 1.. ended up dropping a larger stack than intended in trade and canceled. Honest mistake. The dude selling me the item was calling me a pos scammer and I had to beg the dude and explain I was still learning so he’d sell me the item.
