Maybe 1 in 4 people don't respond for me.

It sucks when you can afford something and feel like you can almost grasp it but then the seller won’t trade. But just come back at a later time and try again.

I dropped multiple divines last night and was able to basically fund my build into the next echelon with the exalts I acquired through trading the divines. I would create the searches and save the tab, send out the whispers. If I could get what I wanted right then I would delete the tab otherwise I would wait 20 minutes come back and research and often times I found better gear with someone responding this time. Just be patient and keep playing the game in the mean time. You might accrue enough currency to get something even better.

I like it, it’s just like Diablo 2 trading and it brings me back to the early 2000s. I personally like that I’m interacting with a real person rather than a system, some people will just do the trade and some people will talk to you and we might become friends. I understand the complaints that some people just want an AH because it’s faster and simpler though.

What is it that you are trying to trade for? Because there could be a couple reasons for this and there is a solution

because you are whispering those fake traders, i think. i never had that problem.

There are many traders that list items below their actual price. so noobs will put items in for the same llow price. resulting in getting ripped off.

because most of the people search their item in poe trade and take the price of the first few items.

thats why maybe nobody is responding because its an fake offer.

I stayed up like two hours last night and must have sent whispers to around 75 people trying to get that unique shield with spirit on it Using the site.

Only one person responded back saying ” sorry just sold it” . So I went to bed.

I even messaged people who were grossly inflating the price at one point . Nope. Nuffin....

I think either the site is broken or people are just buying premium tabs and making stuff public with no intention to ever sell it. Maybe it is bots?

The majority of those shield sellers still have their items listed today . No one bought em. They are still online . Yet they won't respond.

It's a really cruddy broken system in a otherwise great game .

We need an auction house so badly. I can't believe I'm saying that I've always been against them.

Yep trading is bad and I got my few share of people not responding but I also didn't respond a few times and all of them when I didn't bother to stop mapping to trade 5ex items I would just invite the people and give the item for free after I finished my maps

Before I started selling some of my stuff I thought it was a poor system too. But, honestly I kind of like the way it is.

Usually when you get no response that person is just afk. Or second guessing, or getting swamped by like 10+ trade requests within seconds.

In my experience, the more specific your parameters the easier it is to get something, though it's not gonna be for 1 ex, it's gonna be like 5-40 ex if the item is actually good. Yeah sometimes you might get ignored after a few tries, just try later, or lower your parameters just slightly.

probably means the thing your trying to buy is not in the 5-10 ex range.

I got an invite. went to their base and then they ignored me and kicked me from party.

I've done a stupid amount of trading. Both selling and buying on ps5. Ive had about 3 offers go unanswered. And even get messages back saying its already been sold if that happens. Making a whole reddit post complaining about the same shit everyone else does is lame. Maybe wait a minute or two instead of spamming offers if that's what your doing.

I don't understand why there can't just be an auction house?

I'm new and level 70. I would say I'm about 75% success rate. When I tried to buy a few 1 EX items I never heard back but when I messaged about some 3 and 5 EX items they always added me fairly quickly.

I find trading in standard league is a mess with price fixers. Playing hardcore and trading I seem to not have this issue at all.

i would guess i get responses at least 60-70% of the time, if not more. trade basically constantly.

Trading is great once you figure it out....I buy and sell hundreds of items a day....it's not that bad at all.. Trying to buy maps or currency is a pain sometimes but everything else is pretty painless if you know what to do.

If you are buying bulk items you just gotta scroll past the first 20 or so listings.

I have been answered once when I have tried to buy stuff out of some 50 whispers and the only answer was "sorry I just sold it" T_T

Yea there is literally 0 defense for why this horrible system is still in place. Truly demoralizing when you need specific gear.

Haven't really had an issue myself... occasionally have someone not respond, but that definitely doesn't seem to be the average encounter for me.

I don't have this issue. When I'm looking for new items and have the currency, I get them fairly fast. Sometimes, it takes a few tries, but is it really that big of a deal in comparison to some of the other issues in the game?

I typically only experience this trying to buy waystones

Message them and offer a higher price to stand out. Majority of the time there just price checking to see how much they can get

You sift out the price fixers then you get answers.

I thought no one was responding to my whispers until I realized I had my browser covering the right side of the screen, where the party invites were popping. I was expecting people to whisper back before trading. I am new to PoE 😅

IMO once you list an item you should have a 30 second grace period for oopsies and then the item is listed for an hour before you can remove it and there is no interacting you just buy it right from their stash when they are online.

It's not poe1 kind of trading but I haven't had a problem. People whisper, I send an invite, we trade, they go on their merry way.

I don't get how people are struggling so badly, I just kitted out level 40 character for cruel with 1ex levelling gear in every slot and it took a few minutes to acquire it all. I rather suspect people aren't using the posted time filter and trying to buy stuff that has been listed for weeks.

If you trade for exalt just pay one to two more. I usually ignore the first 15 listing's or just put two ex min price.

Are you sorting it to “within the the last hour” that’s the only way I get responses

It's the lack of awakened poe trade macro where things were getting priced mich mire efficiently. Now ppl just use dump tabs. Ifnthey get whispered right away or within 5 mins they swap to a higher cost tab, even if the item was priced on the top end people will still swap it

Still better than Diablo 4.

half were price-fixing bots, a quarter were afk, and a quarter were in maps and didn't care enough to leave and respond. The PoE experience

It’s because it’s difficult to know what the value of an item is. 9/10 people just put stuff in a tab for 1ex or whatever, and they use your messages as info - if you message them the price is tripled and they ignore you. Once they stop getting messaged, they know where to set their real price.

It honestly baffles me every time I see posta like this about either poe 2 or poe 1, it is very simple to buy items tbh. In poe 2 it’s also super easy to be ssf so you can just skip tradig entirely or get one or two uniques you need.

Why not have an AH and trade house at the same time, those who want to only engage in either platform can do so. Have the prem stash tab toggle between public or trade site. Both sides get what they want.

is it me but i think trading is totally fine? got the items i want with not much hassle

I have had a good experience with trading so far.

Yes some people do not answer sometimes but it is been mostly smooth for the most part.

Having to trade in the first place is a nightmare.

Welcome to PoE. Terrible trading system but atlest they have one

Had this experience one night and something was bugged. My game, the site; not sure. I reset the game, relogged and was able to get messages and party invites again. Good way to test if it's you or not - take your most expensive item and price it for 1ex or lower. If you don't get messages almost instantly, it's bugged.
