Playing PConc early ?
So there is now a few guides out for PConc, however most of them suggest playing another build until lv60 or so and then swapping.
I sort of want to just be playing PConc from lv25 or whenever I do the first trail. Damage seems fairly solid but sustain the mana flasks seems hard. Even with a flask rolled with gain charges over time and some nodes on the tree for increased charges gained. I can clear zones fine but to checkpoints refilling your flasks but for bosses I'm running out around 80% dmg dealt.
So I'm wondering do you just need to path slightly down from ranger and take the 2 passives that give mana flasks over time and and inc flask charges gained also.
Or is this even just a damage issue, instead of trying to sustain the mana flasks you just go full in taking all the poision nodes and try to get a big physical bow for more flat dmg for poisions. The only other option is im attacking too much and instead should throw 1 or 2 Pconc wait for poision to wear off then throw the next to save my mana flasks.
Just wondering if anyone has leveled with PConc and what they had to do.

Widowhail projectile skills on quiver corpsewade boots. That should get you to t15 maps.
There is a Fine Belt base that has flask charges per second as implicit.
Otherwise try to get more damage (+ gem level from quiver or amulet) and higher ilvl flask so they can roll more charges per second.
A lot of your damage comes from + level of projectile skills so if you have a widowhail you can get a quiver with + level of projectile skills and % damage with bow skills. Rings can roll woth % increased chaos damage, you can also use mings heart which makes you a bit squishier but is a great dps boost. Amulets can get + level of projectile skills.
If you are high enough level you can use despair to lower the enemy chaos resistance and if you have mings heart or the passive tree node for added chaos damage you can add withering touch support to any skill to apply wither stacks.
If you can get a widowhail and the passive tree quiver bonis nodes and a half way decent quiver you will notice a dramatic increase in damage.
For flask sustain there are a few unique that give charges over time otherwise you should be able to path to a few of the .1 charge per second nodes in the tree and spec out of them later. Get a wealth with % increased charges gained and if you are a high enough level the belt that restores charges per second.
If you are willing to not use pconc at lower levels gas arrow is very easy to scale up and is very effective.
I levelled with Pconc. Glow.. something unique ring rolls up to 0.25.
-
I had 0.15 on the flask.
-
the tree node that gives 0.1
These were enough to sustain which was only an issue until lvl 32 where you can waer +2 proj quiver and dmg skyrockets.
If you want to start with PConc early, I recommend getting a Widowhail with 220%+ and a quiver with +2 asap to kill bosses before you run out of charges.
And if you're going for poison damage, hold on attacking too fast and let the poison do its thing.
I levelled with pconc as soon as I could and it was just fine. Sailed through everything pretty easily.
Bunch of guides out there right now have got too much fluff and unnecessary information regarding leveling.
- From the moment you ascend and get Poisonous Concoction, follow this tree: https://imgur.com/a/pconc-leveling-zcWABDT
- Prioritize the nodes "Master Fletching" & "Cautious Concoctions (and it's neighboring "Flask Charges Gained" nodes)"
-Need a Widowhail with minimum 220% or more.
- Any "+1 to Level of All Projectile Skills" Quiver you can wear at ~lvl 25 or so (helpful affixes are attack speed, flat physical to attacks and projectile speed)
- Any "+1 to Level of All Projectile Skills" Amulet you can wear at ~lvl 25 or so (helpful affixes are life and resistances)
- Snakebite unique gloves for +1 poison (drop this later when you allocate "Building Toxins" further top right of the tree by the chaos clusters)
- Glowswarm unique ring (on the trade site, filter for max roll on the "Mana Flasks gain X.XX chargers per second")
- Identify mana flasks as you go through the campaign with the suffix "Gain X.XX charges per second"
Things to know:
- Can't wear a Fine Belt until you're level 62, don't bother.
- Meginord's Girdle (for increased flask charges gained) can be helpful but I preferred using a rare belt with resistances
- Cloak of Flame and The Hollow Mask unique helmet is enough to carry you through campaign despite uncapped resistances, just have capped fire resistance (you'll thank me later)
- Mana flask sustain TLDR: Glowswarm, Cautious Concoctions and "Gain X.XX" charges per second" on your mana flask is all you need
- Don't spam PConc, let the poison duration do its thing.
- PConc poison damage is based off the combined Physical and Chaos damage but scales best with skill gem levels. It is not affected by the local damage on your weapon (e.g. runes in your Widowhail) since it is an Unarmed attack.
