Has anyone tried using Meditate on an Invoker? I think it's kind of decent maybe?

I have a focus in my offhand with 50% recharge rate and a second skill tree with 24 points dedicated to energy shield recharge rate. On my Monk, I can spend those 24 points to get about 200% increased energy shield recharge rate. Bringing my energy shield recovered per second to about 43% of my ES.
~200% Energy Shield Recharge Rate
I find myself swapping to my offhand in the beginning of the map and then healing/doubling my ES in a matter of 2 seconds (Meditate also gives 78% more energy shield recharge rate). I have about 75% evasion with 4 stacks of Wind Dancer, because I only have evasion on my chest, my idea is that by doubling my hp, I should able to tank a hit once in a while and then recharge back to double again. Meaning, my ES can go from 5k to 10k whenever I want, even during boss fights if you can find an opening (which is not that hard)
But maybe it's not as good as I think it is even with this offhand strategy?

It's good for bossing, where grim feast does nothing on non-minion builds.
I imagine it'll be more popular once grim feast is gutted.
With that many points invested on your tree, you are essentially a meditate build.
The offhand tech seems to actually make it somewhat usable, cool idea. The only downside I can see is this means you can't use those offhand passive points for an alternative purpose like singe-target-vs-clear optimization or a curse utility swap.
I think Meditate will also potentially find more of a use when the Cast While Channeling meta gem is added to the game. (It was shown in the Druid preview a while ago) Then it could potentially be used as part of a trigger build combined with the Invoker's meta skill energy gain node.
