What is the general consensus on Kripparian's Ghost ES Slammer Titan build? I want a version of this build where I can incorporate Sunder & Bleeds. Thoughts?

Here is the build. Does anyone know how effective it is? The only Titan builds I can see that are working effectively are the Stampede life stackers with bleed. I can see how Kripps ES build can be insane, with the 40% additional effect of small nodes on titan, but I want to see what crazy stuff people have come up with too with this ascendancy.

Titan is not in a great place right now, but even with that said, following Kripp’s guide is definitely not the route to follow.

Despite him being one of the GOATs of the genre his takes lately are semi cooked and out of touch and as others seem to suggest this feels like a build almost meme-worthy to try and goad GGG into “fixing” melee. Which they probably were going to look into anyway.

If you want to run a successful Titan build, look at what Alkhaizer and Carn are doing/have done, this will be your best bet honestly.

Your bossing will be terrible. Not enough str for better weapons and overall less dmg nodes taken. If you play like AI, sure, maybe. Fun for mapping but thats it. Saw his vod and struggled with weak bosses and still got one shot. It has no bleed and dmg, so bosses are not even terrible just straightup impossible

But player evasion only works for strikes and projectiles, are the rules different for mobs?

I think he's a lil cooked, like that "%armour to %es recharge rate noteable" is troll lol. It's cute for the hybrid area ig, but the holistic recharge rates are just fine and easy to access. Getting to 300% isn't too crazy. Even If you took all the hybrid AR/ES nodes u'd be at under 100% inc armour, 40% recharge rate? Base recharge is 12.5% /s. Then you gotta trigger that, which is nice with block but the Leap Slam stun tech is troll, but ig might as well if you got nothing else to use.

Correct answer is to not play a destined to be nerfed archetype on something that already suffers like melee.

Looks actually pretty fun. Ill probably follow the main idea pretty loosely and throw on some other gem setup.

All skills are slams, so isn't resolute technique pointless?

The dude just really hates armor and wanted to troll GGG.

Also you have to compare his dmg to other SSF players not trade.

I can't speak for sunder and bleed, but I did a summary of my version of ES titan that I've been playing since day 1: https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/s/pS614jkIF9

This tree let's me grab aoe for clearing and damage nodes for ignite hammer of the gods. With atziri's disdain, you can easily reach 2k life with 15k es (no overflow) with 16% damage bypassing ES which feels comfortable when paired with life flask and cannibalism. I recommend sticking to a 3 rune ghostwrithe or even a corrupted one with 39% convert to have a bigger max hit taken (I used 50%). I also achieved 90% max ele res and 75% block to be tankier.

For single target damage, I've been able to deal 32m damage in a single ignite without compromising defenses.

The recharge is less comfy than Kripp's build (and fully jewel dependant, not ssf friendly), but I had no issue outside of burning ground maps and cleared all content on this build.

What I think you could adapt to make it work:

Swap the ignite/fire nodes for bleed to get similar results. Sapphire jewels have ailment duration, so you want to focus bleed magnitude from the tree. For sunder, possibly drop the resolute technique and get 2 good accuracy prefixes to be able to crit. This should one shot rares with the aoe setup without needing more damage nodes.

If you want to play a caster melee, look at Chrono with HoTG. https://youtu.be/F7ld_CW9cv4?feature=shared

This is Kripp‘s way to try and get armour buffed. He knows GGG likes him and will see his build.

I highly advise to not go with this build. It is purely a „look you make armor trash, i‘ll male sure every build in the game will run ES.“

With his build, you need to path a long way for all the energy shield nodes, which leaves you with very little room for extra nodes to scale your damage further. If you are going for a bleed/sunder build, you are probably better off doing a normal str/life, block and armor based Titan. Your damage will be much higher if you don't have to spend a billion points on ES nodes all the way up north. It's not like life sucks, it's just that energy shield is broken. You can get more than tanky enough as a life based character for mapping with the right defensive layers, it just suffers during pinnacle content. With his ES and ES recovery he can probably AFK a lot of the boss mechanics and still survive.

I'm running an ES titan, currently 12k ES at level 75 and feeling pretty good in T7ish maps. I'm strength stacking with Pillar of the Caged God, and using Ghostwrithe to convert life to ES (obviously). Very happy with it so far and still a lot of optimisation left to do (eg HOWA, etc).

All the pathing you need to pick up the ES nodes (which are boosted by Titan) just gives you more damage from PotCG which helps a ton.

Scaling super hard into ES is certainly a choice. This build forgoes so much damage just to enable ES as a defensive layer. It’s completely impossible to blend this idea into most warrior builds. I can only see this working for some sort of spell based titan.

Hary_the_VII0

You sacrifice too many passive points on ES, leaving you with 0 damage and no AoE for mapping. The best defense is a good offense.

People ITT have no idea at all what they are talking about and no idea what endgame titan looks like. Your choices are to be extremely overgeared for content or not do it at all (since the class, not ascendancy, is objectively underpowered). Kripps variant offers a way to get tanky enough without being insanely overgeared. This still means though, that you need a lot better gear than literally every other class/play style.
