How do you level with poisonous concoction pathfinder?

12

Basically you can get pconc at about lvl 22 from ascendancy and at that point it does huge dmg. however, you cannot sustain it in bossfights and you dont have enough dmg to finish the fight quickly. You already notice this with map bosses although those are still doable, but the act boss is basically impossible with too much hp.

So is lvling with a normal bow build the only way? Later in the league you could just ask somebody to kill the boss for you ofc but if you wanna solo and as a league starter how do you solve this problem?

Unlock sekhema, buy a boost for all 8 asc points for 30ex on the clown discord, I mean TFT. Profit. The unique ring for charges helps a lot. Use vine arrow, +2 quiver. I dont think I had any issues after this. But yea, random locations like the colossus, where your flasks are thrown randomly away, might hurt. Just be more careful. Dont spam it unless you know its going to die within the flask charges you have.

Try starting boss fights with those little poison pustules on the ground (I can’t remember the name of the skill). Fire that two times where the boss will spawn and throw a conc at its feet. Huge burst dmg to start the fight.

As you asked for a league starter, id say you skip pconc at 22 grab a different ascendancy point and level with bows , right now the posions gas and flame wall is a good two button combo build to get through the campaign fast on League start. May get nerfed , worth looking into poison only build or another skill. We will be getting daggers at some point. Which may have some cool poison skills and we may see the skills tree change.

Then Respec at maps when you can sustain . Either through tree points or gear.

Ive never had a damage problem with pconc pathing to flask nodes on tree and using belt with gains flask charges. It just shits out damage. Are you using a widowhail for +4 gem levels? Also a good flask roll matters.

Use a low level vine arrow for bosses. Toss 2-3 of them on the boss then spam your condition. It basically triples your DPS because it funnels extra damage from your concoction through the plant to the boss

One thing that is worth exploring during leveling is using shattering concoction. The freezing adds a nice layer of defense and feels very good and for me damage feels a lot better than poison. I did struggle a bit before the +2 level quiver though, I had to finish some bosses with the basic attack. After that though you can kill bosses with 5 throws of ice.

Find a decent phys now and use gas arrow + flame wall.

My buddy has a 300k+ dps conc build. It wrecks

Get the +1 all skill helmet and a +1/2 projectile amulet.
That helps alot with the leveling.
Also there is a manaflask charges gained node not far away from start.
You can also grab some flask charge nodes on the way.
I was leveling like this prebuff and rarely ran out of charges.
Oh and +phys/chaos dmg on quiver/rings/gloves helps a littlebit aswell, or elemental if you use the elemental->psn magnitude gloves.

Once you hit 32 (if i remember right). You can get a +2 quiver

If you don’t want to level with Pconc, just go with LA/LR and then respec later.

But as others are saying, get the ring and some flask charges and you won’t run into issues. The Dmg will carry you alone.

I just made use of the fact that pconc damage is overtuned and killed every boss in 4 attacks.

Widowhail and +2 quiver is more damage than you'll need, use the gain mana flask charges ring until fine belt and alch boon, I'm doing it right now, it's very easy. Also you can get a 4th trial carry at level 20 something and just have full ascendancy instantly, which makes campaign a joke.

I just put together this build, it’s great, leveled 1-maps with lightning arrow / rod then just switched at maps

HazzwaldThe2nd1

I had no issues switching to it at lvl 20 with a 250 widowhail and +1 quiver. Take the flask nodes near the start of the tree and make sure your mana flask has +charges per second

bluecriket1

id just level as LA + LR or gas and swap later once you got a few labs personally, you can do it earlier but it will be rough on bosses without plenty of flask charge stuff

Jarrito271

On ssf I played gas arrow until I had LVL 3 support gems and a 4 link concoction

BigBirdLittleMoose1

Look for the unique mana ring it adds .25 flask charges per second paired with a belt that gives .17 charges.

Roll your mana flasks for max charges and you can sustain

Icaros0831

Just leveling it SSF now. Don't take pconc as first ascendancy, take it after second ascendancy when you can also take the flask charges gained node.

Charges gained per second on flask is a must. Reduced flask charges used on tree or belt help a lot. As do increased flask charges gained.

That's enough to sustain until 58 when you get alchemist's boon and never have to worry about sustain.

Also, as you get more gem levels you don't need to throw as much. I only have a +3 bow and +3 from quiver (+2 and 50% from tree) in act 3 cruel and most bosses just die within a few throws.

Quiver has to be ilvl 41 for +2, just pick up and keep every quiver past that ilvl and reforge til you get +2.

Widowhail you can either spam gambles on a lvl 2 char in act1 or save white crude bows to chance. It's very common.

Get Keelhaul as well, unique belt with 0.25 flask charges

I never ran out of charges throughout my playthrough… get any mana flask with gain charges to make it smoother, and don’t over spam your ability
