GGG, give us back the trade "PING" sound - I keep missing trades because I barely notice the chat alert.

And give us right to change this sound just like item filter sounds

I turn off all sounds except loot filter and chat alert. Problem solved.

The DM sound is the same as the when Sanctum keys drop.

I have my chat set to Local only, so the only time chat opens up is during dialogue, or a trade whisper, so I don’t miss them!

Sorry, that sounds more like a convenience that would reduce the Friction that is a necessary part of making trading give players a Sense of Pride and Accomplishment. The devs saw it was too easy to just AFK in PoE1 listening for trade alerts while doing other things.

I find the current sound to be pretty noticeable. Have yet to miss it a single time.

There a guy that made an small app that notifies you on the phone whenever you have a trade. The notification sound on the phone, is the message from POE 1. You can't miss it.

He's posting virus scans and certificate validation for everything he does so everything is 100% safe.

I've used it in settlers and he made it work for POE 2 last week.

There is a sound but its definitely a lot less noticable

I just made my chat huge, so it covers half the screen.... Not ideal, but at least I notice messages, because I also never hear the sound. 

oh not that one only sound please. At least make us add custom notification.

It was kinda annoying everyone had the same sound notification. Watching streamers while playing always triggered my attention someone whispers me, but wasn't :)

Also can the "mute in background" and chat mute become separate please? I don't want in-game sounds while tabbed but I still do want pings.

Please don’t make it louder for everyone, I’m happier with the quiet. More granular audio volume settings would be great so people can adjust the levels to what’s right for them. Especially the power to mute other players’ MTX sounds, which still bother me in PoE2.

I made a post about this a few weeks ago:
open poe2_production_Config.ini (you find this file in the same location as your loot filter) and increase the volume of chat_alert_sound_volume to above 100, 2000 works for me.

I lowered all sounds to 50% except chat sound which I kept at 100%. It helps.

Trade chats should loud and text notification more prominent. Center top for example.

Same with me, even max volume is barely loud enough. They need to change it back, it took me a long time to even start listening for that weak doorbell chime.

This, it's impossible to hear, even with the chat alert volume maxed and everything else turned down.

Lower all sound at 5%
Put chat notification to 100%
Gauge with master volume

Maybe a headphone thing? I use cheap 30$ IEMs with game sound at 50% or less and global windows sound at 30% and I honestly could never NOT notice the whisper sound.

The new sounds for someone joining your party, leaving it and entering the same area are pretty neat. Much higher quality and clarity than in PoE1.

No need of ping, just make normal trade system for 2025 game please, that works automatically .

If you don't mind Overwolf, get PoE Overlay and turn off chat alerts from PoE, then set your custom notification sound on the overlay. Works so well

Let’s just stop with the trade market and make it possible for click and purchase for anything you have listed. The trade system is trash and time consuming for no reason.

I don't get why they chose to make this sound different but tons of other sounds are exactly the same as POE1.

I went in and turned everything down except chat and loot, then turned volume up. now I don’t miss the sound lol

Would be nice if they allow trade messages to get punned for 1 or 2 lines on-screen until opened or even having setting/command to turn it on and off

Yea man that sound has me trained like Pavlov's dogs. I can hear it from almost anywhere in the house and come running.

Yeah I can fkin tell, like 95% of the people I dm don't even answer, it's like people play the game with their eyes closed.

It's almost like you're playing a game and not doting on your customers by waiting patiently for them to message you.
