Does the Notable Passive "Feathered Fletching" have interaction with the "Acceleration" support gem?

Feathered Fletching says increases or decreases to Projectile Speed also apply to damage with Bows. I've always understood that as any passive or property on an item you wear that increases projectile speed of your bow skill will also increase the damage that skill renders eg "increase projectile speed" on your quiver will also directly increase the damage of whatever bow skill you are using.

So I'm thinking if I use Acceleration Support in my LA, will that increase my LA damage directly by 40% more? Since Acceleration gives 40% MORE projectile speed. I tried socketing it in my LA but tooltip damage stays the same. Is this a bug since the wording seems very clear? Will GGG patch this so that Acceleration gives 40% more damage if you have the FF passive?
