Which Monk build to spec into?
Currently level 48 invoker that just reached Act 1 Cruel but feeling very weak atm. I've just been doing my own skill tree and chose what looked the best, so now I'm thinking of following a guide. These seemed to be the two best I found online so I'm curious what everyone thinks is better.

I preferred Sarge's version but it doesn't hurt to look at both and implement what you think is neat.
Id go sarge until 80-90 when you can get all/nearly all the crit nodes. Then any crit tree is going to be similar.
also highly recommend trying tempest flurry. Ice strike did well for a long time, but flurry free attack speed stats made gameplay smooth if you got herald chaining online early. With 40% discount on tempest you can skip mana cost nodes. Then you can also drop / skip attack speed nodes for a while as well.
the quarter staff and melee damage nodes to right that sarge gets probably better at this stage than crit is now. Later when you can get all the crit nodes they combine for more damage.
maybe something like this for flurry:
Ice strike id still grab the general damage nodes but keep the attack speed and discount nodes.
the elemental damage cluster just above monk start area can be good source of damage as well. Usually you chill and shock. If you have flat fire you can get all 3 damage buffs.
