How do you build around Avatar of Fire as a warrior?
I like the idea of the Avatar of Fire key passive, but not sure how one would build around it. If I understand correctly, it converts 75% of non-fire damage to fire damage and you do no other kind of damage. And the fire damage would be scaled by the fire specific modifiers.
Would you run this on heavy hitter abilities like hammer of the gods? Or even AOE abilities like stampede? How would one make up for the 25% damage loss (from say physical damage) that Avatar of fire entails? As expected, the DPS reading on skills like hammer of the gods always goes down if I select Avatar of Fire, even though I am heavily invested in the +fire damage, penetrates fire-damage, ignite magnitude passives.
Do Avatar of Fire builds mostly work around ignite so they can scale up the reduced damage (25% loss)? I could imagine working on increasing ignite change/magnitude as the way to make up for the 25% loss. Increased fire damage magnitude also increases ignite chance - so perhaps scaling big hit abilities with physical damage skills (like heft etc.) and then converting to fire is the strategy here. You do lose out on stun buildup and life leach which is a bummer.

Having a weapon with increased elemental damage with attacks makes Avatar of fire a very strong node to take. With roughly 180% on one two handed mace, my damage almost doubled in the tooltip
You just scale fire damage, the idea is that it's way easier to scale elemental versus physical damage. Also it converts the rest of the damage of skills like molten blast which don't have an inherent 100% phys to fire (instead of having 60% you have 100% in this case so fire dmg modifiers are more effective.
Use a xbow. Spec in area damage, and ignite magnitude maybe? I can see explosive shot and the grenades benefiting from that passive, especially if you have hulking form too.
From build data it looks that the dominating one is Hammer of Gods Titan with Infernal Cry, Herald of Ash etc. You just push as much of it as possible. You can find more similar builds here: poe2.app - avatar of fire
