Megalomanic Jewel: A List Of All The Cheap & Powerful Nodes Under 5 Div

454

The Megalomaniac jewel is a goldmine, giving you up to 2-3 extra passive skills that you don't have to path to. But with over 1,500+ nodes, many players avoid this jewel out of sheer analysis paralysis.

If you know what you’re looking for, this jewel can unlock powerful passives for just 1-5 Divination Orbs, save you passive points and boost a ton of stats without needing to rework your entire tree.

I've spent some time going through every node, and compiled the best budget ones to get.

[[What NOT to Do: Avoid Overpriced Nodes]]

Unless your stash tab is named "Elon Maps", do not waste your Megalomaniac jewel on overpriced nodes. Some of the worst offenders include:

  • Spaghettification (30D)
  • Wild Storm (30D)
  • Falcon Technique (35D)
  • Lightning Rod (35D)
  • Subterfuge Mask (40D)

While these are awesome nodes, save your divines and anoint your amulet with it instead to get it much cheaper! Just note that you can only use one Megalomaniac jewel.

[[Best Ways to Use the Megalomaniac Jewel]]

1. Passive Skill Point Savings

For energy shield and projectile builds, certain nodes like Spectral Ward and Kite Runner are a pain to path to. The same goes for Calibration, which often feels out of reach. But with Megalomaniac, you can skip unnecessary travel nodes and save at least 4+ passive points while still getting the key bonuses.

So add this parameter in the trade search filter "allocates NODE NAME" for any of the below and enjoy a quick bump. You may even find some bargains at 100-200 EX but the cheaper ones often have a dead stat.

Price Range: 1-4 Div.

Spectral Ward (Save 4 skill points)
+1 to Maximum Energy Shield per 12 Evasion Rating on Equipped Body Armour

Kite Runner (Save 4 skill points)
・3% increased Movement Speed
・15% increased Projectile Speed
・15% increased Projectile Damage

Calibration (Save 4 skill points)
・30% increased maximum Energy Shield
・4% increased maximum Mana

2. Grab Powerful Nodes Cheap

3. Stat Stackers Enjoyers Rejoice

These jewels provide huge stat bonuses too. If you're a monk, the Heavy Weaponary node would be inaccessible, but it has a cool +15 STR and +15% melee damage for just 1D which you can now get.

Assuming you already pathed your way to Polymathy (25D) + Jack of all trades (25D) and anointed your amulet with Spaghettification (30D, 7% all stats).

Here are some juicy minimum +15 total stats to grab for cheap.

Ingenuity

I did not include Blurred Motion (+5% Dex) or Insightfulness (+6% Int) as they start at 20D+, while everything else in this list is mostly 1-5D.

Final Thoughts

The Megalomaniac jewel is one of the best ways to customise your build cheaply, as long as you know what to avoid and where to invest. Hopefully, this guide helps you make the most of it!

Let me know what nodes you’re using or if I missed any great budget picks!

Jesus, one sec, let me fix the table.

Updated: Fixed!

I acutally had the market price etc for each item in a nicely collated excel table - but I can't figure out Reddit formatting!

Anyway, I've not seen a post on the recommended Megalomaniac stats to hunt for, so I hope the research I've done helps somebody who was in a similar spot as me.

The thing is a nice 5-10 div jewel can be arround 5-10k dps (eg. 12%quiver stats, projectile damage and crit damage) so you Ready Need to trink of Those and extra 4 passive Points can give you the same Benfit.

This is just from a dps Perspektive… gering Build enabling notables by This which would ne otherwise out of reach is something Else

Concillian1

There is one more category: Mostly useless notables that are in range of your Darkness jewel so they give you stat scaling from the bonuses rather than the notable itself.

erasedeny1

Went from 128k to 136k spark tooltip dps for a 1 div purchase. Great post.

hoots7111

Can you path from the new node you acquire?

Extreme-Bed-61901

What Stat would you recommend searching for an Ice Strike Monk Build ?

This the new list of what to flip? Beautiful!

The instant we get our map tab I’m naming it”Elons’s Maps”.

Sure-Orange-14771

as a newbie thanks brother, i was always scared to use unique jewels

Remarkable_Mess60191

Thank you 👌

jonjonteru31

Now the secret is out. Whatever is not listed will remain under 5D. lol 😂

FB-221

Wow I didn’t realize how much the prices dropped since these became searchable. People were listing wild storm/pure power/lightning rod jewels for like 100+ div lol.

I use a branching bolts/ether flow megalomaniac which is nothing super amazing but really nice QoL

OGcoh1

I would also add Icebreaker, Conservative Casting and Mental Toughness for casters which give a ton of value.

I got a combined Conservatie Casting/Icebreaker for 8div which was an absolute joke for the value it gives me (Ball lightning/Lightning Wrap Stormweaver, and I assume also applies to all the Spark builds out there)

shakazuluwithanoodle1

i have no idea what you're saying

laukax1

So how do you search for these with the trade filters? I tried typing "allocates xxx" to the search bar for a few different nodes but nothing came up.

Are any of these nodes any stronger than a regular rare jewel? My sapphires can give like 40% damage for half the price of this diamond.

Chlorophyllmatic1

For all the broke stackers out there, you can find a jewel with something more relevant along with Finesse or Unexpected Finesse (adds to accuracy, which combos with Falcon Dive) for dirt cheap.

Chrystone1

Lol made them instantly expensive good job

Kuraku941

Also wanna add Prism Guard as a nice one to look for. +1 max ele res/+5 all res

ihowlatthemoon1

For stormweavers, I spent a while building this search. Good luck! ;)

harx1

Might want to add that you can only slotted one Megalomaniac jewel per character. Some newbie may try to buy two different jewels, only to find out the hard way.

DiscussionSharp14071

In a month I'll buy all the low priced jewels and then make a reddit 'guide' about them to bump up the prices to 11 div

vulcanfury121

Ironically, because of this post, those once-cheap Megas will now be expensive. Get them before they rocket. Or not. I'm not your mom.

Para541

Really usefull post ! Thanks for that.

Destro_Gaming1

Thank you for your time and research!
