I ran 100 simulacrums and recorded the results
Since the price has been dropping on simulacrums, I decided to try out farming it.
google sheet with results:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AfDgOmBoKYRbbHJipr2fh-IFmKYpQBWlYh24zBXbUqA/edit?usp=sharing
Results:
Entry fee for 100 simulacrums: 37 div
total div value earned: 166.6
profit: 129.6
time taken: 20 hours
div/hour 6.48
I timed 10 of my runs and it took about 11 minutes each, but with sorting and sometimes having to relog, 12 minutes per is closer to reality.
Rarity is 91% + rarity charm used
I did not include Strugglescream or Collapsing Horizon in results because they appear to be worthless. i dropped 3 Strugglescream and 11 Collapsing Horizon
I put in the max number of +1 simulacrum difficulty atlas nodes(7) for the last 30 runs, but it did not seem to make any difference. It was not any harder, the area level remained 82, there was no extra deliriousness, and the drops seem to be the same.
I dropped 1 dream fragments which was sold for 100 div but did not include it since it's highly unlikely to happen.
I ID'd some rares and vaal'd some uniques, but nothing noteworthy. Less than 1 div of value and i didn't keep track.
Calcs are done with 278 exalt=1 div(current price as of writing)
Simulacrum tips:
This is debatably the hardest endgame content. The reason you usually die is from getting swarmed in a cramped area and stunlocked. It is also hard because bosses are present, but they come out in the middle of swarm waves so you can't really bring a pure bossing setup. Many builds depend on herald of ice to clear, but it does not work against delirium monsters for some reason. The best way to survive is to use the stun charm and use wind dancer with the Unbreakable support gem to try to not get stunned. You can replace your herald with wind dancer if you have the dex.
Pros and cons:
pros:
-no setup needed(rolling maps etc)
-cheap entry fee
-jackpot potential with Megalomaniac jewels
-mirror shattering effect is cool
cons:
-difficult/need strong build
-heavy RNG on rewards
-low hourly rate
-delirium music sucks
Is it worth it?
No, not really. If you have a build capable of running it you can breach farm, ritual farm, arbiter farm, trails, etc and make more. There is a chance of dropping a perfect megalomaniac than can sell for 100's of div, but it is very unlikely. Other farming strats can make double the rate or more. It is pretty guaranteed income due to low cost of entry so it does have that going for it.
Megalomaniac jewels - I sold 2 for 8 div each Breath of ice/Heavy Buffer and Lightning Quick/sudden escalation/precise point. I priced the rest at 1div for calcs. some will sell for more some less. Hilariously the 2 3 mod ones i got both included a node that only applies to spears...which are not in the game.
Here's a list of the megalomaniac jewels i got:
Soul Bloom / Critical Overload
Potent Concoctions / Tough Claw
Lasting Concoctions / Exploit the Elements
Life from Death / Made to Last
Flip the Script / Grip of Evil
Cruel Fate /Deft Recovery
Unsight / Ripping Blade
Event Horizon / Fear of Death
Beef / Coated Arms
Perforation / Deadly Flourish
Rapid Recharge / Colossal Weapon / Roll and Strike
Breath of ice / Heavy Buffer(sold for 8)
Lightning Quick / sudden escalation / precise point(sold for 8)

Awesome, thanks for sharing
the hourly rate is 6.5 div and thats low??
damn
like even with juiced breaches I dont make that much (maybe if I would sell splinters and catalysts but I usually dont)
"Many builds depend on herald of ice to clear, but it does not work against delirium monsters for some reason."
Because roughly every 3rd to 4th wave has Ailment treshold <95% which significantly reduces your chance shock/freeze/ignite to a point where HoI will not relyably freeze anymore.
I think lower difficulty is more profitable in sims.
Also tried farming simulacrum t4. For 50 simulacrums I dropped 0 Melting Maestrom and 6 Meglomaniacs which aren't worth much judging by the fact that I can't sell them. I didn't count everything in detail, but I'm not sure if I made any profit.
What in your opinion is the best current farm to run?
"wind dancer with the Unbreakable support gem"
WHAT? Since when? ive been running this on tempest flurry
poe2db doesn't list this as an option, im at work now so cant check but it would be sick if that works
I ran my first and it was a breeze until 15 and all my minions melted and i got one shot from the boss because mobs locked me in place
I cant run these on my monk because I depend on herald of ice and those mobs are immune to it.
Damn, nice stats
i am at curently 160/1680 simulacrum from 99-100 lvl .. drops suck dick but you get some worth out of it at the begin of the league pretty frequent lvl 20 gems, isolations, mana flask is around 10-15% so are jewels and a lot of lvl 82-84 bases
exp sucks dick its 1.1mil per hour on 99Β
Thank you for this.
Theres no way you did 100 simus and didnt come across a pair of boots that arent atleast 10 div. Its one of the main moneymakers in simus because most mapping doesnt drop high enough ilvl for 35% movement speed. 35 ms + double res is easily 5-10 div and triple res or rarity/stats is upwards of 25 div.
Which atlas nodes passive did you use, OP?
Thanks for the breakdown. I have tried farming everything except the Arbiter, my drops have been laughably horrible. I have invested probably up to 200 divs, I have earned around 4. None of my other shit found a buyer. It's been so horrible that I just stopped playing lol I have received so many boots and staves from King in the mist that it's actually hilarious. I haven't got a single ingenuity. I simply said, fuck this, I'm out.
like holding one button in a foggy mess that you cant even see what is going on? then this content is for you.
Question, how many delirium rewards you got on average per delirium wave?
I did it before my uprades, but overall, i would barely get past 4 rewards, maybe getting 5, im wondering what was your rate
My sorc clears this so easily that i just farm it because of that and I can just buy the mats and blast away. My gear is midrange, like 30 diva I guess with belt being 20 of those.
So if your build handles it well it's very low effort farm.
I put in the max number of +1 simulacrum difficulty atlas nodes(7) for the last 30 runs, but it did not seem to make any difference. It was not any harder, the area level remained 82, there was no extra deliriousness, and the drops seem to be the same.
FYI, when you hover over the base of the tree it tells you that nothing changes if you go over +4.
I canβt even farm enough Div to buy an Olroth flask. Quite the gap between some of the player base here I suppose.
I just want the points for Atlas man! Farmed up a key and got blasted immediately
Ran Audiences of King and dropped 4 belts. Decent return.
