where does the damage come from when using Tangletongue?
so while maping i stumbled over a Tangletongue spear and thought, why not give it a try? when i swaped it in for my 1exalt weapon i bought during the campaing, my damage went down from 6k to 2k on lightningspear. yeah i know i have to do some adjustment on the tree, but i wonder how some players achiev thos absurd numbers on there tooltipps with like + 30k tooltip dps. where does all that damage come from with that little base dmg? i dont get it

If your amazing your better off getting a spear with accuracy on it cause of the node penetrate. But if your deadeye tangle tongue is bis
Rings mostly I think
you need to get the correct ascendency nodes too. Then stack crit damage bonus, crit hit chance on the tree.
Mine is at 47k but it's kinda subpar for t15 juiced maps.
Flat damage on gloves and rings, usually augmented by an Ingenuity.
Then you want to spec into enough crit chance to be at 100% crit chance, or as close as you can get.
Just slapping it on when you're at 60% crit chance or so is definitely going to be a damage loss
You need flat damage on rings and 2 sockets with vision runes if playing amazon.
