Elemental Sundering Build
Hi guys, since this league start I always had the itch to make a build that combines all 3 elements to inflict ailments and then make big explosions with elemental sundering.
So far I made a few experiments, but always end up with the same situation: the mobs are dying from the spells/attacks applying ailments, making the second cast for sundering kinda unnecessary.
It almost feels like I need to nerf myself with the initial attacks to be able to actually use the skill effectively, which seems kinda pointless. I might as well just kill the mobs directly and save time.
What are some applications/builds for the skill? Am I understanding it wrong? Am I supposed to lower attack DMG so I can focus on the explosions?
I'd love to hear some opinions, and if someone made a build to have a look. The skills looks awesome but feels clunky to use

The way ailments work in PoE2 makes scaling the ailments themselves feel strange, both because available supports are typically way too niche and because scaling skill damage is easier (which goes in hand with the former). Even most bleed builds are just plain phys hit builds who so happen to have bleed as an added damage rather than the focus.
To be able to apply all 3 elemental ailments reliably, even without wanting to scale their magnitude themselves, you have to both be dealing enough damage of each respective elements to apply the ailments and do so with skills who are good enough to do so and fast enough to leave time for other skills to apply and something like sundering to take advantage of it. Because of that, the issue you encountered with enemies just dying from the damage leading to the sundering is bound to happen repeatedly. It's not an oversight, the way ailments have been designed and the limited amount of tools we have right now just makes tip toeing around it both difficult and counter-productive.
What could be considered as a way to potentially apply multiple ailments at "once" could be explosive spear + three dragons + herald of thunder. I can't test it right now, but three dragons should apply shock from the explosion's damage while the burning ground should still ignite. Herald of thunder will ramp up freeze. A complementary lightning skill along with innervate would be required for better freeze, but the bigger problem is having a constant upkeep on frenzy charges because explosive spear is terrible without consuming. Deadeye for better frenzy gen would alleviate that, but the free freeze buildup from Amazon's infuse is also interesting. At this point, how to get this concept rolling, if it even is possible, is beyond what I'm able of thinking or testing right now.

Is it possible to swap weapon set 2 and summon some minions then shock or ignite them to explode elemental sundering?
I've made a fire version using Radiant grief helmet as a smith of kitava.
I've basically just reached maps and so far the build is decent.
It only explodes 9 ailments at a times. so if you have 9 enemies around you have max dps using a single ailment.
You can use a tame beast with elemental ground for bossing.
I also use the lightning jump + lightning ground on crit for a second ailment, but I use avatar of fire so all the dmg is converted to fire
