Lightning arrow - Pierce or Fork?
Hello guys, I have seen that a lot of people spec into the bow cluster node for pierce and others prefer to not spec into the final pierce node, even though its only 1 passive for free pierce and instead sacrifice 1 gem slot for fork. Does pierce not work with the Lightning Beams from LA? Is that why people go fork or are both good in their own ways? Im a bit confused, so any help is appreciated.

Depends on what they want the skill to do. For Lightning Arrow I believe it's because if the bulk of your damage comes from the chaining beams making the initial arrow pierce will delay the chaining beams from appearing which diminishes your damage so you wouldn't want to use pierce. But in general if someone's strategy is to stack chain or fork then pierce often isn't valuable since you're just delaying that happening for no real reason on your setup so it's a wasted point. Often it won't do the chaining arrows with each hit, for example, most abilities will only do that affect on the final hit so pierce is a detriment.
