Falling Thunder Invoker - Having a blast with my homebrew build!

94

This build is so satisfying, even more so since I made it myself. I haven't even touched LS, used this since the start of the campaign. Had some rough patches, but overall it's been a fun learning experience.

I've made a few YouTube videos going over the build and changes I've made, not sure if I'm allowed to share it or not. Either way lmk what you think or if you have any cool tech I can try! Thanks.

How do you sustain charge (automatically to max) w/o attacking?

Got a link to a guide or a video to see the build in detail?

let me guess,

  • invoker nodes: meta energy, spirit from body armour, crit ignores res, lightning gain with shocked ground
  • cast on crit with profane ritual for charge generation, herald of thunder, wind dancer, ghost dance
  • havent dabbled in quarterstaff or melee skills this patch so im assuming it's a support that's spreading the waves in all directions with upheaval maybe
  • if body armour that gives spirit wasnt speced, boatload of spirit would have to be from chest and ami at the cost of other mods

kinda want to try this out tbh, looks sick

Enjoy it while it lasts! It looks fun and good! Which means 0.3 will make it invalid :)

falling thunder is such a cool skill !

Nice. Played a similar one during 0.1 as well. I was new to Poe and just progress with falling thunder skills with culling strike that time lol.

I took the terrain fork passive nodes back then for a way bigger and satisfying slam. But sacrificing a lot survival nodes like es and evasion!

End up I turn myself into a flicker salve to have more survival.

Have you tried cast on shock or cast on freeze for PC charge gen instead of using Cast on Crit?

I see a lot of people using Cast on Freeze for flicker strike but i cannot get it to work (probably not enough cold dmg) so I'm curious about it for your setup

i wish falling thunder was meta/better.. it was such a fun skill to use on my very first playthrough of poe2. loved monk last season

Hello people of reddit. Can this carry whole 6 people party alone? If not how much div i should spend to make it stronger? I have 70 dv total. I want to do party play in maps.

Honestly going through the campaign and early mapping on my invoker I really wanted to make falling thunder work but couldn't figure it out.

Thanks for posting this. I might give it a shot if I ever get tired of my LS Amazon lol

What’s your weapon? You could probably drop pinpoint critical in exchange for a max tier crit rolled Collapsing Horizon.

The staff also has meta energy refund built in for more CoC, and skill levels. You can obtain a high roll on all three for pretty reasonable price. I’d wager a three socketed Collapsing Horizon with three To Crit soul cores will be competitive to your current DPS using Pinpoint Crit.
