How does CoC with 2 Profane Ritual work?

Alk is running CoC with 2 copies of Profane Ritual in it. Could someone just explain to me how this is working? I can only find a thread about PoE1 saying Cast on will cast 2 spells if they are different. Did it get changed in PoE2 and now 2 copies of the same skill works? Thanks

You can equip multiple copies of any skill IIRC in poe2, just only supports are limited.

I dont know why you would run 2 of the same in the same trigger unless it has to do with how energy is gained and the consistency of how they are cast.
