Melee Attack on LMB feedback after 200 hours

20

I've got two hundred hours now in PoE 2 since launch and I've tested all three melee options. All in all the auto-namelock is miles better than PoE 1. So I have two points of feedback; one minor and one major.

The minor one is if the cursor is too close to the character, the attack on LMB will go off hitting nothing, thus wasting mana and interrupting the combat flow. For most of my Warrior run, I would classify it as a major issue but I've changed my mind when I'm playing a Monk for a week before 0.2 drops. I found that if I place my cursor beyond an attack's natural range, my character won't fire off his attack on nothing and he will continue moving until the cursor is on an enemy. Also, Ice Strike on LMB is the best gameplay loop in recent times; just holding LMB and bonking enemies without the need of much clicking on each one. I do have a bit of a problem with Rake firing off constantly, I have to put the cursor quite far for it to not fire off. I don't quite know the reason, maybe because it is a Travel skill or it has a huge range...

The major one is when I'm holding LMB with an attack on it, all other attacks will lose its' auto-target and repositioning features as if the 'always attack without moving' option is ticked even though they aren't. A good example is Rolling Slam; while I'm auto-attacking with Mace Strike or Armour Breaker by holding LMB, I can't reposition the second slam and it will go forward (i.e. the same direction as the initial slam), so I will whiff quite a bit and I have to dodge roll back so that I'm base-to-base again with the enemy.
