Always corrupt those essences folks

Should we Corrupt All of them or just the greater essences?

I don't understand how to even get to this part of the game.

I have corrupted 200-300 easily and yet to see a new essence.

Haven't gotten one of these for the entire season, and I've been specced into double corruption for most of it. I have a 96, 95 and 90 character.

I've corrupted about 1,000 essences while fully specced into essences and never gotten an essence of horror. Got all the other corrupted essences

Uhh what are these ? Never heard of these essences

I dislike it so much that these essences are so extremely useless in SSF. Unless you have dozens of them to craft with, it really doesn't do anything for you.

People only get excited for these drops because they can sell them, not because they can use it. And that's a fundamental design issue I think.

You can actually get those essences from those? I actually thought it was exclusive from that unique map where there's a boss with so much essences.

Hmmmmm....yeah, I don't think this is working for me...

I've specced into essences/wisps since 0.2 was out and have never gotten these.

I guess I'm confused on the game jargon.

All I understand is when I find an essence rare monster in a map that is incased in the podium I'm given the option to corrupt it with a Vaal orb.

So I do. Either it adds, removes, or upgrades the essences sometimes even to a greater essence.

Sometimes nothing happens and the podium instantly breaks releasing the rare monster and his pack of buddies.

If there is more to the process can somine explain it in literal terms for dumbasses like myself.

The real question is: what were the base essences looking like before you corrupted?

Did you get lucky and they got double corrupted (from atlas tree) or were there multiple greaters already and you still got lucky? lol

Specced into essence since EA launch, corrupt every single essence I find. Not a single one of those 4 have ever dropped. Pretty cool and fun.

How do you know when you should corrupt them? I’m only level 75 but I don’t think I’ve seen a greater essence? Unless you can’t tell very good and I didn’t pay attention etc
