Goofy builds

It's not exactly "goofy," but I've played Artillery Ballista Gemling all season.

Im playing witchhunter shotgun build with fragrounds , its really lacking alot of support to make it t4 viable but i can beat t15 / t2 Bosses quite handily.

The basic idea behind the build is getting close (Using the deepest tower unique) and skipping the reloading (with the new unique crossbow) , you need alot of pure life to sustain and not instagib yourself and specc hard into lifesteal but its somewhat working. Frag rounds is really nice if you dont have to reload (you can skip all the reload passive points / attributes for extra loaded bolts on crossbow etc) and just go full blasting.

I have a Wind-Dancer Totem Gemling. You could argue that Mace-dancing is a meta build these days and I would be inclined to agree but it was off meta when I made it.

I have a ritualist based around dropping giga-juiced up plague bearer novas using the Splinter of Loratta and Plaguefinger glove combo. While I personally use lightning spear to spread the love you can get by on spear field to stack poison up. I have incision and bloodlust in my spear field so that it stacks but doesn't consume and I can get a huge bleed using the damage from the plague bearer nova. 

Plague nova also has Ambrosia slotted for the extra gain % lightning damage that contributes to the poison via Plaguefinger. You can then blood hunt the giga-bleed to stack a massive poison. Because you have infinite poison stacking with the splinter of loratta you can skip all of the passive nodes that add stacks but reduce poison duration.

I call it the Thunderfarter.

I played a Fragmentation Rounds Stormweaver for quite a while.

Basics were:

• Stormweaver ascendancy so Fragmentation Rounds can shock

• Unique that converts Lightning to Cold so Herald of Thunder can freeze

• Fragmentation Rounds consumes the freezes (and deal massive damage) to activate Shard Scavenger for unlimited bolts

I tried doing it on other classes with infusions or Three Dragons but they were just never as effective as Stormweaver plus that ring

I’ve done so many off meta builds this league, but the one that surprised was the lightning arrow chaos build using Beyond Reach. It was literally slapped together in 10 mins and ran Sekhamas for my 4th ascendency points with ease runs T15s ok boss maps are rough but they were not changed from my league start setup which is rare because I usually have to knock boss difficulty down to base for off meta stuff.

I love my Thorns build!

I was able to start it early with the helm that retaliates thorns against ALL Hits, instead of just melee. This includes many elemental spells and so many boss interactions that I did not expect. Do you all remember phase 2 of Jamanra when he plants two pillars and lightnings arcs between them constantly? Each blip of damage is a "Hit" so your Thorns retaliates!

Mix that with Leech from Thorns passives, the +25% Crit Chance with Thorns unique boots, the few Thorns support gems and you're off to a rip roarng adventure!

Most bosses just melt themselves! The Thorns Spirit Buff is a must and using that with the shield smack AoE armor killer can take your non-crit Thorns damage to past 10k or retaliate before Act 3 Cruel.

It's so very fun and makes me laugh watching these mobs run up to you, take one swing, and then just drop dead. You hardly need to use flasks, hardly ever need to dodge roll (once the components are assembled), just walk up and span your channeled shield bash ability for the win.

Stunlock Tactician

I was using storm lance before but now i switched to siege cascade/glacial bolt. Clears entire screens and single target dmg is decent too. also farms simulacrum so a plus

I've been playing incendiary shot smith of kitava. titans probably better for it, but i like not dying to things. if i get bored i swap in explosive shot and watch the screen get deleted

Critical Damage Thunderous Leap.

I tried to force a Wind Dancer as primary dmg build but I wasn't tanky enough to get it to survive T15 Breaches lol.

My absolute favorite skill is Flicker Strike. I love the chaos, it makes me smile and laugh, and it is also very good endgame if you care enough to make it work and survive. Wow I love flickering on a boss with 6 stack charged staff and 6 power charges and looking like Darth Maul with cocaine swinging the stick

Not goofy, but I can still remember that Deadeye using that Poison shield as its main weapon and nothing else. I highly applaud that player as he's able to melt most mobs on the screen with such build.

Another fave is that Warrior where the Armour Explosion is attached to HoI, ice blasting everything that it jumps into, really fun to watch :)

RF Deadeye

Ive been toying around with an arrow rain build on paper, it seems like it could scale very well with deadeye ranger. The main thing is stacking projectile speed and any other modifiers that would effect the arrow rate to actually USE the massive amount of arrows youll have "stocked".

besides that thorns is absolutely doable, ive seen multiple different builds and am even doing one myself. Cant decide which ascendency I want and some specific bosses are kinda rough but some are also just hilarious so it balances out.

I crunched numbers and a gemling companion build whcih focuses on non aura companion dmg COULD be viable but slow. Youd need to stack as many levels on companion as fucking poossible though. Not to mention slow

Every build I do is goofy as soon as I hit T15s 😂 always get massively punished for trying my own thing, just going to copy paste meta builds from now on because I’m clearly missing some fundamentally important information.

Freezing shards Indigon.

The charm ignite build is fun and different, my personal fav is Molten Blast Deadeye

I did a CI cold twister invoker who shatters everything in HCSSF. Need a first cast of frost bolt for chilled ground so whirling slash can turn to cold, then twisters freeze and kill mobs. The "I am the blizzard" ascendency creates chilled ground everytime, so I just need two button rotation afterward. Very solid mapper, very safe, kinda meh for high-end bosses, but very fun to play!

I’m playing an Ember Fusillade Titan. It’s actually quite strong and tanky!
