Mirror items
With mirror costs being as high as it is (multiple thousands of divines) - isn’t it just cheaper to craft mirror tier items yourself?
I get that chances of perfect T1 rolls are low, especially on weapons, but from looking at chances on Craft of Exile and looking up prices of omens it seems that it is pretty good odds to craft items yourself for much cheaper than mirror + mirror fee.
Am I missing something?

lol no unless you are very lucky. they sometimes spend 10k+ divs for a mirror tier item. it is a lot of whittles, omens, divs and chaoses.
Yes and no, depending on how you look at it.
Yes it would be cheaper to craft it yourself. However, you sacrifice the time it would take to make the currency.
No, because if you have the currency to spend (up front) you are locked into a major currency generator.
Also, when you get into mirror items, it's usually guilds that can pass around the item to be a literal 24 hour currency printer. That is why there is the additional cost on top of the mirror.
I saw someone on this sub say that the odds of t1 phys% is 1/9100ish. Might’ve been 6k, can't fully remember but I know it's excessive. I think you wanna get t1 phys of chaos spam and whittle the easier rolls.
I tried to make a mirror tier item month and a half ago and sank 600div to ladder craft 4/6 t1 rolls, gave up when i realised how much I'd have to sink using greater annul and prefix annul omen. Sold for 200d profit when I realised just how much resources were still needed
The time and stress involved in crafting those items VS a guaranteed copy
Yes – you’re right. But there are always some people who are very rich, either because they RMT or expert players want to burn their currency.
And not every Mirror-tier item has someone who wants to copy it. You can find mirror shops on trade websites (I won’t explain how to find them), but in the short term, 60–70% of the items listed for months don’t have a fixed price – which means no one wants to copy them.
So why do people still craft Mirror-tier items? Because Mirror items themselves are a source of passives income. The crafting process often results in failed items – and those failed items are profit .
Here are some side reasons why Mirror prices keep rising : market manipulation , collecting them as trophies, or simply treating them as savings (something that never loses value).
Some item slots, yes.
Like boots and body armours aren’t that hard to craft 6x t1.
But like rings, my friend already had a 6x t1 breach ring, but he needed different suffixes, the only one on trade was 1200d, so he redid his suffixes on his ring, got t1 chaos res (which he didnt want, cuz hes playing CI now) after 1k divs worth of rerolling suffixes alone.
He sold that ring for 1050d and bought the 1200d one, but his ring cost more than 1050d to craft with the prefixes before spending 1k on suffixes.
Weapons is another slot highly recommended against mirrorcrafting yourself, unless you’re a streamer or you want to put it up in tfts shop, you’re probably gonna end up losing 1000’s of divines, and that’s not counting the 100’s of divines you’d have to spend on divining the rolls as close to perfection as possible.
I crafted a mirror tier bow with a friend, we got insanely lucky because I hit the suffixes + 1 of the prefixes for less than 200d,
The only items worth paying a mirror for are mirror service weapons, IMO.
Everything else can be crafted for way less.
