Full new player trading guide for ALL resistances

I learned quite a lot by experimenting on the trade site, but there is one thing I haven't figured out how to do. For example, if I wanna search for a body armor with 500+ ES but with no maximum life, how can I do it? It doesn't seem to support such kind of search - excluding items with certain stats

what does weighted sum version 2 do over version 1?

This is actually really useful.   I've done quite a bit of trading in poe 1 and used some of the options in filter but never really knew about the weighted section. 

Or in poe1 click to all elemental resistances pseudo. What a downgrade

More advanced tips:

- If you need a minimum of 20 fire resist and a maximum of 40, you can add it to the Min/Max ranges

- If you also want to add yo your score something useful like "Maximum mana", add a new line to the weighted sum and give it a score (for instance a score of 0.5)

- If you want to see a ring with a minimum of 60 resists, add it to the big "Min" textbox at the top

Ideally you can make an ultra "custom score" search with many modifiers that you care about and give them your own score. Think of "How many resistances would be worth +1 minion levels for me?" and give it that score.

Weighted sum is best feature on trade

Why don't you added "enchant #% to X Resistance" to find resistances from corruption?

its complete bullshit that there is no combined total resists / total elemental resists stat that you can just select as 1 entry, and instead need to do this 10-entry weighted sum on each item........

I tried the "do not get scammed" tactic and only choosing exalted when hunting for a 500+ physical dmg bow with atleast 20-40 cold dmg. Got none.

It is insurmountably stupid that GGG sees this and thinks it's not some insane barrier to entry that ruins the fun of anyone trying to learn this game. In 2012 when the game started I was fine learning it, it was fun. It's been another 12 years and I would have passed on this game 10 times over if I didn't already know how it worked.

Just this post is something that got converted from one button on poe1's trade site and GGG tells us to go fuck ourselves and do all this bullshit every time we want to find "pseudo total resists" in the sequel?

f weighted sum, use count and couple separate mod groups and just enable/disable mods. Much better than the weighted search, just takes a little more effort.

im a vet and cant be fucked doing this, just waiting for THE TRADE SITE GUY to add pseudo total res search option

if your max is 15 ex don't put a minimum as high as 15. probably no minimum, or maybe 2 ex if you want to avoid people with 1 ex tabs who are ignoring trades

Why put a minimum on the price range though? The perfect ring could be listed for 9ex :P

1 is the default weight, so no need to specify it. Makes it a lot quicker to set up.

Or... I can just play the video game in SSF and cap my resist the old fashion way.
